FCC vying for all-IP voice networks

A SFGate article says that FCC is now seeking advice on how to light the fire for voice carriers to speed up their transition from circuit switching to IP networks and use an all-IP voice networks.

They are already thinking about some areas like on how to ensure phone service to everyone who wants it.

The transitions is already underway driven by market forces but the commission wants to make their policies that service providers can follow to make the transition more effective.
