Thomas L. Cardella & Associates (TLCA), a contact center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa announced it's plans on establishing additional contact center 75 miles away. The new facility will need more than 185 entry - level and 15 managerial jobs that would generate about 4$ million annual payroll and will be having benefits as well. TLCA official says the they use an Avaya VoIP system for inbound and outbound calls. Open Source Asterisk has already taken IP telephony by storm that made many vendors offering solutions based on the software. This free software also brought down the cost of installing of an IP-PBX. You don't need a fully functional PC for a fully functional IP-PBX, you could use an embedded Asterisk appliance called WARP created by PIKA Technologies.
