The assets of Nortel Networks are clearly up for sale, but a number of suppliers are looking at the idea of giving cash to the company's VoIP and switching assets and resuscitate those particular departments.
Among them are Sonus Networks, Genband Inc., Nokia Siemens Network, and Avaya Inc. Why would these companies want to throw in more cash to the VoIP and switching assets, I wonder? There must really be a very good reason.
